Holiday Inn Express Fairhope-Point Clear by IHG

Nos quedamos solo una noche pero nos hicieron sentir como en casa, nos dejaron ingresar antes del check in a la habitación porque estaba libre. Las chicas de recepción fueron muy amables, nos dieron una lista de restaurantes y un mapa. El desayuno estuvo espectacular. Además nos encantó Fairhope.

Excelente sitio de descanso la atención es lo máximo de verdad

Stayed 4 nights to visit nearby family. We hoped to enjoy the pool during our stay, but the water in the pool was warm and dirty. It didn’t appear to have good circulation or being filtered properly. The water had a film of dirt and grime floating on top of the water surface . My kids didn’t want to swim after the first day. |The room was fairly decent and breakfast area was nice. The parking lot was extremely busy and lacked parking space due to cargo boxes taking up parking spaces. |Overall we would stay there again if the need arises, but it could use some help in a few areas.

Everything looks better online. The rooms had a musty odor, and very stuffy feeling! Key cards to rooms kept deactivating. Hair dryer didn’t work, If you stay in the first floor, you will hear every single thing! Walking running, pulling luggage, everything thing. Even the walls between you are paper thin! Coffee machine didn’t work inside the room. Front desk does not answer their phone at all!!!! We usually stay at the Hampton Inn, for our little getaways and thought we would give them a try because the pictures online were so nice! Never again, back to the Hampton Inn we go! As for the room it was decently clean, but be sure to bring your own cleaning stuff as well.

Not what I expected. I can say we were accommodated to check in early, which was nice. We were offered either the 1st or second building, was unaware we'd be placed in the second building last room on the second floor. Room was slightly dusty, my cat found a used bandaid behind the bed unfortunately. I did not like that the bath tub had the patches that they add to prevent slipping, they make the tub look dirty. I hate to say it, but the second building looks like a renovated motel 6.

The Holiday Fairhope is in a great location, definitely one of its strongest points. It's convenient and easy to get to, which made traveling around the area simple and stress-free. The staff was okay overall. I will say they were very nice when I arrived, especially considering there was some confusion with my reservation. I had accidentally booked two separate stays since I ended up arriving a day earlier than originally planned. They handled it well and had me sign for both up front so I wouldn’t have to come back to the desk later, which I appreciated. The room itself was fairly large, but the furniture felt a bit lacking. It really could have used a couch, there was more than enough space for one, and even better if it had been a pull-out. The bathtub was in rough shape and looked like it could really use refinishing or replacement. The bathroom floor also wasn't very clean; I noticed some hair and what looked like something stuck on the floor, which was disappointing. Also the tv has a few cable channel but does it hurt to have at least netflix available? It also went out for a while not sure why. The next day, I returned to find that my room key had stopped working. It wasn’t a huge deal. I had a feeling that might happen because of the double booking, but it was still an inconvenience. Getting a new key was easy, though. One small thing that stood out: I greeted a staff member in the hallway with a simple hello, but they didn’t respond or acknowledge me. Maybe they didn’t hear me, but I do think staff should generally greet guests when they see them. Overall, I wasn't particularly impressed. It was an okay stay, not terrible, but not great either. The last Holiday location I stayed at was about the same, though the staff there were a bit friendlier. I expected a bit more, but for the price and location, it was passable.

Bed. Two people, one chair. Tv remote not great. No furniture. No stand for luggage. Under TV too short for big roller suitcase. Shower door leaks. Cleaning service not good, coffee not restocked, cups not restocked, beverage cups not restocked, coffee counter not cleaned. Bedding is either heavy or a sheet, short sheeted (!!), need in between. Not the Holiday Inn standard I'm paying for!
