Quaint, but well-equipped library. Ample internal reading space, and a well-stocked computer lab. They also have free wifi, which was necessary to make this post, since there's no cell coverage in town. They also serve as a hub of the community, hosting summer concerts in the park next door.

Super cute library. They have gorgeous house plants. And they actually rent a bunch of stuff like snowshoes, backpacks, trekking poles and many other things. Definitely a place to check out. And most importantly great customer service from the gal's. Also you can hear Markleeville Creek running in the back end of the library. What else can you ask for while you read a book.

One of the best if not the most useful and helpful libraries one could ever find. A gem in the mid Sierra’s. Rita is the extraordinary creator of this welcoming community creating institution. Hiking gear, state park passes (free), cds and the latest greatest books of all genres!
