The staff was super nice and easy to work with. We eloped and were very happy with the courthouse experience part of it. Beautiful building, and security was even nice and talkative. I would make the trip to Teller County over surrounding counties.

The building is beautiful and security is very nice. I think maybe the women in the recorders office are just used to signing divorce and marriage paperwork. I guess because I was so excited, I expected the people there to be like "Congratulations!" but that could absolutely be me. The process was quick to file the paperwork, and the drive out to the courthouse is always beautiful. Updated August 2023: Well- was 4 stars and went down to 2 due to complete lack of customer service at this DMV location. Actually, sadly, the way the employees act here is what is "typical" bad customer service at a DMV- attitude, unprofessional, and unhelpful. Came here because the one in Woodland Park was down with internet- we tried to go 4 times in 1 week. It was clear the people at this DMV were not happy about getting the extra traffic from WP DMV not being able to provide services. Just left a sour taste in my mouth. Why are people in the Cripple Creek government so cranky?!?!

I can't believe that I am saying this BUT, I LOVE THIS DMV! The people are so friendly and helpful. They will go out of their way to answer a question or help in any way they can. I have been here many times for several reasons. I think the longest I have ever waited is about 3 minutes. By FAR the best DMV that I ever dealt with anywhere!

LOVE this place. Frankie in the recorder’s office is so nice and helpful. The old books are so fun to look through to locate all records, and Frankie offered to help us locate a gap in our property’s history. Great old-timey vibe in here.

Both the manager and teller at the DMV are extremely rude here. Go any where else if possible. They do not treat people equally and I will drive an hour away if I have to to avoid this place
