I’ve been following Jason Harrelson and his research along with his pursuit to make the most efficient and best possible trumpet and mouthpiece for quite awhile. Recently I was able to visit his shop in Denver, which I did with some hesitation due to the fact that I had some physical setbacks from an accident that caused me to lose most of my ability to play the trumpet (temporarily). It was very humbling to not be at my best, but Jason was very understanding and made me feel very comfortable and respected. He is extremely supportive, knowledgeable beyond words. He truly cares about helping others. Wow! We spent an entire day together working on rebuilding and improving my playing, which was a priceless experience. Jason showed me the shop and how everything is conceptualized and built. This man knows how to teach, and his passion for learning and making better more efficient equipment is unmatched. He truly understands the importance of new technologies and how everything works from a scientific and players standpoint. Visiting the shop is well worth the time and effort, and owning one of his trumpets is well worth the investment. Equipment matters, and his is the best!

I must state that since the first buy it's a hit!! Started with the Gap Solution Kit for my Yamaha, two months later I was receiving a 5MM kit with a VRG I personally installed on my trumpet . Man that horn was for each upgrade easier and easier to play. So a month later I was in Denver, at Harrelson Trumpets to finalize detail and setup for a SUMMIT II custom trumpet. I could played the Muse trumpet that was just out of the "press". It was a blast in sound, efficiency, handling and being able to test different bells and lead-pipes. It made it a piece of cake to find my perfect setup. I just had to play the horn with different configurations until I felt in love with the right one, both in feel, sound and projection. The Muse is really super efficient, more sound, less effort. You can feel "where science meet sound" in the instruments. Top of the cake was a friendly crew and warm welcome for the two afternoon I spent there. Jason is generous in details about how and why it's build the way it is. I traveled all the way from France near Bordeaux, just for that and it was really worthy. Thanks again and see you soon

Jason and the crew at Harrelson Trumpets were a joy to work with! I received my custom Summit in January of 2019, and it is by far my favorite horn I’ve ever owned. Their attention to detail and precision craftsmanship produced a horn that plays even better than I’d anticipated, and at a really reasonable price. I did have to wait a little bit longer for it, but it was well worth it! If you’re in the market for a really great instrument, you need to look into a Harrelson (his mouthpieces are amazing too!)

I’m loving my Summit C Harrelson Trumpet - with the VGR “dialled in” and the 3 5mm mouthpiece setups I get everything in this one horn - I love playing it and the horn is the most value for money that I have found (and I own 7 high end pro trumpets). Congrats to Jason and his team - your customer service has been second to none and you helped me to put all the different setups together remotely (I live in Switzerland). As a comeback player after a 30 year hiatus, I now have gigs every week and the Harrelson Summit C is a unique trumpet in my gig bag!

This is my custom Summit Bb trumpet made by the great Jason Harrelson and his team! I have owned many trumpets, but this is the one to beat them all. I have talked to many about how this is the easiest to play and easiest to get the sound that is in my mind. I am so thankful for the excellent and quick work from HT. You can also see me representing my 5MM! The customer service from HT is always impeccable. It is usually Sean, Christine, Jen, or Jason who answers the phone or email and I never have to wait longer than a day for a response. It is amazing what such a small and efficient team can do. Overall, these are the people to go to buy a used trumpet or design that dream trumpet that you have had in your mind. They do amazing work! Thanks again 😊🤩
